Astaxanthin Capsules astfit®

Astaxanthin is a red carotenoid naturally produced by the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis. Under certain growth conditions, such as light stress or nutrient deficiency, the alga accumulates this pigment in high concentrations – a natural protective mechanism of the alga itself. An oleoresin rich in astaxanthin is extracted from this alga, forming the basis for numerous food supplements.

This product uses astfit® alga extract, a standardized raw material quality that provides a guaranteed amount of 4 mg of pure astaxanthin per capsule. The capsules are suitable for anyone who wants to specifically take astaxanthin in a defined daily dose, without having to worry about fluctuations in the active ingredient content, which can occur with non-standardized raw materials.

Astaxanthin belongs to the group of xanthophylls, a subclass of carotenoids. In nature, it is also found in salmon, krill, shrimp, and flamingos, among other animals, which absorb it through the food chain. However, the amount used in this product is exclusively derived from microalgae and not from animal sources.
